Welcome to Lakewood, California.
It’s your average city; skyscrapers and nightclubs, shops and cafés, surrounded
in part by fir and pine forests. It’s picturesque and friendly to the onlooker’s eye.
The residents of Lakewood appear to resemble characters of classic stories from
the likes of Grimm and Hans Christian Anderson.
But everything in Lakewood is not perfect, and not everyone gets their fairytale
ending. The prince does not always find the princess willing to be rescued, nor is
the villain always defeated. For Lakewood is not a perfect city, and the endings are
often far from happily ever after... And the residents are out to prove that they're
not just a shadow
