The small town of Copper Center, Alaska is blissfully unaware of their newly inherited
inhabitants. The population is small having only 306 people in the tiny forest-like
community. The many relationship problems of the town are seemingly the only
major drama, or so they think. The lycans have adapted to the technology of 2009
and morphed their ancient habits. The pack has survived solely based on their
mobility, traveling from small town to small town. Their time in Montana had been
shortly lived due to the death of their previous leader.
The law of tooth and claw proclaims that whoever takes the life of the alpha becomes
one himself, however since it was due to natural causes a sparring session took
place. The last two males fought viciously for the title and opportunity to give their
pack a fresh start. One's blood spilled upon the Earth while the other howled his
dominant victory. Unless the full moon is brightly lit within the sky it is rare for a
shifter to be in wolf form. In this day and age it is far too risky to expose one's self.
Fortunately the new leader had brought them to such a desolate town they are slowly
beginning to phase on will once again.
The murder of an innocent human brought on by the arrival of another pack has
rippled an unsteady fear throughout the community. The humans have yet to
discover their secret and both packs have just settled. They will be damned if they
have to move once again. It is unwise for two packs to be in such a close vicinity.
The dominance bred into each member creates quite a territorial rift. Cellphones are
useless, internet is the key to the outside world, and not even their natural raised
body temperature can suffice in the cold Alaskan winters. The bar is their only source
of entertainment and both packs are beginning to rebel.
One pack is content on sharing while the others hostile nature is causing them to
become violent. They do not wish to share and they will stop at nothing to drive the
others out. Both packs believe it was the other who killed the human but was it? Or
was it another creature who has yet to become public? Alaska may just be torn to
pieces before these beasts are finished with it.
